Baxter River leathers are carried out on whole bovine leathers with a noticeable thickness, this article is chrome tanned, dyed in seeping aniline and finally protected with water-and oil-resistant products. River leathers get their typical smooth matte aspect after the laying of particular waxes in different phases, that are then shifted to special drying barrels, showing all coat’s past life, such as veins and zones of natural light/dark.
